In pics: Storm Fionn brings snow and ice to UK

Snow and ice have brought treacherous driving conditions to many parts of the UK as Storm Fionn battered the country.

Forecasters also warned winds could reach 70mph across northern England and Wales on Wednesday evening – and potentially could be another named storm.
