A 12-year-old boy has been rescued after becoming stuck waist-deep in mud for around an hour.
A team of coastguards, firefighters, police, ambulance and lifeboat crews helped free the teenager after he became stuck on the Solway coast in Dumfries and Galloway.
He is understood to have been fishing near Kippford when he got stuck in the River Urr estuary at Rough Firth.

At 4pm today, emergency services responded to calls reporting a distressed 12-year-old boy was stuck, waist deep, in the mud near #Kippford.

The rescue, which happened at 4pm on Thursday, was co-ordinated by Belfast Coastguard and involved teams from Portling, Annan and Kirkcudbright.
Police and firefighters from Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas and Dumfries were also involved in the rescue.
After being removed from the mud, he was suffering from mild hypothermia and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
The Kippford inshore lifeboat and Annan coastguard boat also took part in the rescue.
A spokesman for Belfast Coastguard said: “Coastguards from Portling and Annan attended.
“He was extracted from the mud, was suffering from mild hypothermia and was taken to hospital.”
The boy is understood to have been stuck for around an hour before being rescued.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At 4.05pm on Thursday police received a report of boy stuck in the mud and water at Kippford.
“He has been rescued by the fire service and coastguard.”
