Police have confirmed an explosion in west Belfast was caused by a pipe bomb.
The device detonated at the back of a house in the Creeslough Court area of Lenadoon shortly after 8pm on Wednesday.
No damage was caused and there were no reports of any injuries.
Police were called to a report of a small explosion at the rear of a house in Creeslough Court, West Belfast just after 8:00pm last night.
Nobody was injured and inquiries are continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 1198 of 07/02/18.

Army technical teams were called to the scene and examined the remnants of what has been described as a viable pipe bomb-type device, police said.
A number of items were removed for further examination.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said: “Those responsible for this reckless attack showed blatant disregard for the occupants of the property and the local community.
“Thankfully, no-one was injured when this device detonated in the rear garden of the house.
“The overwhelming number of people in the community do not want this type of activity and we, as a police service, will continue to work to bring those responsible before the courts.”
