Three British people have died in a helicopter crash in the Grand Canyon.
The Foreign Office confirmed the deaths and said it is supporting the families of six British visitors involved in the accident which took place on Saturday at the national park in Arizona.
American media have named the victims as Becky Dobson, 27, Jason Hill, 32, and Stuart Hill, 30.
Fellow Britons Ellie Milward, 29, Jonathan Udall, 32, and Jennifer Barham, 39, have been named as those injured by 12News.
They were on board the Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters chopper when it crashed into jagged rocks by the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, the Associated Press reported.
Darkness, windy conditions and the remoteness of the area made it difficult for rescuers to reach the wreckage.
Crews had to be flown in and the survivors were airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital, according to AP.
