In Pictures: UK and Ireland grapple with snowy conditions

The UK and Ireland are tackling sub-zero conditions after heavy snow blanketed large areas overnight amid temperatures as low as minus 11C.

While many people are struggling with transport and school arrangements, other are just making the best of a picturesque snowscape.
