A driver was killed and his passenger seriously injured when a lorry carrying a caravan came through the central reservation of the M62 and hit a car.
Humberside Police said the incident around 9.30am on Tuesday near Ouse Bridge involved a flatbed lorry and a black Lexus which was heading east.
A force spokeswoman said: “Emergency services attended and the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, his family are being supported by specially trained officers.”

His passenger sustained life threatening injuries and the lorry driver was seriously hurt but his life was not thought to be in danger.
Emergency services shut the motorway in both directions while they attended and carried out investigations.
The force said the M62 was down to two lanes in both directions while repairs to the central barrier were carried out.
