The proposition was put forward at a meeting of the water resources steering group by representatives of Health and Social Services.They believe that the only safe way to dispose of the 6,000-tonne compost mountain is to bear the cost of storage until a new incinerator is ready in around six years.The compost has been sieved to remove the chippings made from the CCA-treated timber that was the source of the arsenic.
