Luke loses his brave fight for life

Luke (12), of St Peter, passed away last Friday having lost his battle against a rare form of liver cancer.The son of Andrew and Linda, he was also the brother of Leanne (10), Jordan (8), and seven-year-old twins Matthew and James.Luke was brought to Islanders’ attention last year when it was revealed that his family needed to raise £30,000 to send him to New York for potentially life-saving treatment.He had been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma – a rare form of liver cancer that does not respond to chemotherapy – in 2001.
