The patrols will be carried out by plumbing teams and inspectors from the Jersey New Waterworks Company, who will be touring the Island in the evenings.JNWC managing director Howard Snowden stressed that the majority of people were respecting the water restrictions, which came into force on 23 July.However, there was a minority, he said, who were ignoring them.
‘There is a minority who are saying that they don’t know the ban is on or who are ignoring it,’ he explained.
‘It is unfair on the vast majority of people.’
