Stephen George King (26), of Le Marais Estate, St Clement, reserved his pleas to committing a grave and criminal assault on a man in School Road and to possessing an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.
He was released by the Magistrate,, Ian Le Marquand, on condition that he remains at his home address between 6 pm and 7 am and that he does not enter licensed premises.
The case was adjourned until Thursday 4 September, when the Magistrate will consider whether the case is too serious for the lower court to deal with.
