Wendy Falla, who owns a piano business bearing her name at Georgetown and also in Guernsey, is keen to scotch rumours that her firm is linked to the British Piano Manufacturing Group, which recently went into liquidation.

I am surprised by the rumours and the effect it has had on my business,’ said Ms Falla.

‘I used to source our pianos from BPMG but I changed suppliers over two years ago when I first heard that the company was having problems.

We now source our pianos from Intermusic, who are able to provide us with world-renowned brands and the business is extremely secure.

Ms Falla, who is a fully qualified piano tuner, restorer and technician, opened her first piano showroom and workshop in Jersey in 1983.

She expanded into Guernsey in 1998.
