The 16 (Reserve) Squadron is based at the only Air Force station in the UK operating Jaguar aircraft.

For that reason, their wives have teamed up and picked the Jaguar as their fund-raising focus.Jersey-born Carole Stockill (40) came to the Island with the rest of the team to do some fund-raising.Fifteen years ago yesterday, Mrs Stockill met her husband, Jaguar pilot Wing Commander Guy Stockill (43), at the Battle of Britain air display in Jersey.Yesterday they watched the display with a bottle of champagne in hand, Mrs Stockill leaving most of the sale of Jaguar merchandise – including mugs, T-shirts and baseball hats depicting the aircraft and one of the zoo’s jaguars, Carlo – to the other wives.
