It is alleged another St Paul’s player, not playing in the match, threw the ball into a St Clement player’s face and a mêlée followed.Jones had earlier scored for St Paul’s together with Brendan Flood.Anthony Cotgrave scored four goals in Trinity’s 8-2 home win against Jersey Scottish.

It was an excellent win for the Westerners who were on target through Danny Richardson (two), Ashley Lewis, Darren Mollet and Olly Nightingale.

Darren Quintal bagged Grouville’s consolation.Juniors scored all of First Tower’s goals in a 6-1 success over St Peter at La Hague Manor.

St Peter’s only goal came from Jersey Under-18 team manager Jon Welsh while Ben Ahier (three), Peter Vincenti (two) and Bradley Russell hit the target for the hosts, who could move a point clear at the top of the division if they win their match in hand against Wanderers.There were three own goals scored at the Hockey Club where St John won 6-3 – after being 3-0 down – against Jersey Wanderers.

Those who scored in the right net were Robbie Searle and Jason Byrne for Wanderers and Dean Hughes, Ian Daly and Tony Hoyland for St John.Magpies and Portuguese Club are the only teams in Division II Reserves with a 100 per cent record from two games.Two goals from Ian Crocker and singles by Mark Le Marinel, Jason Newman and Matt Pamplin earned a 5-1 win for Magpies against St Lawrence at Les Quennevais.
