The company’s financial controller, Truujse Gamlin, and the chairman of the board, Christopher Lakeman, will explain the reasons for the theatre’s accumulated deficit and provide supporters with an update on the recent discussions with Education, Sport and Culture on the venue’s future.
‘We think that the Friends, in particular, are entitled to a detailed presentation of what’s been going on and we hope by then to at least know what we have said to Education on our business plan so they can see what it is we are asking for,’ Mr Lakeman said.
‘Our hope is that there will be no need for the theatre to close or to remain dark for substantial periods, but that depends on more money from Education.’
