The announcement was made by the Education, Sport and Culture president, Senator Mike Vibert, under questioning from States Members in the House this morning.
It follows controversy over the awarding of the contract to an Irish catering company ahead of five local bidders last summer.
Senator Vibert told the House that his committee were concerned about the tender process and had now come to an agreement with the college that the tender should be readvertised after three years to enable local companies to bid for it again.
