Deputy Jackie Hilton , who resigned last year, said that sites which should not be developed are being passed, despite assurances to the contrary when the strategic document won the approval of the States in July 2002.
The Deputy, also a former vice-president of Environment, is considering seeking States support to protect sensitive sites and the quality of life of Islanders who live in what Planning call the built-up area.
Having rejected applications because they were against plan policy, the Deputy said that she decided to act because some of those refusals are being reconsidered and overturned.
