Deputy Geoff Southern’s scrutiny panel have convened to hear evidence into the proposal that was dropped from the States agenda at the last minute on Tuesday.

The Economic Development Committee want to move the Jersey Tourism offices from the Liberation Square end of the Island Site to the Castle Street end, but States Members led by Deputy Alan Breckon queried whether the move would offer value for money.

Economic Development withdrew their proposition from Tuesday’s Order Paper and submitted it to a scrutiny review, with the committee president saying he was confident that the panel would back their view.
