THREE Caesarean CC cyclists have had their expulsion from the club confirmed.

The remaining two of the ‘famous five’ will be readmitted – if they agree to toe the club line in future.

But they will all be allowed to ride in the club’s open races – which means they will have the chance to qualify for the Island and the Commonwealth Games.

The decisions were taken by CCC’s executive committee this week following appeals hearings last month.

The three cyclists who will remain on the club’s blacklist are Chris Spence, Andy Hamon and Jamie Barker.

Sam Firby and Dave Jardine will be re-admitted to the club fold – if they agree to as yet unknown conditions which were to be spelt out in the letters notifying them of the decision.

All five were thrown out of the club after so far unspecified ‘boisterous behaviour’ at CCC’s annual dinner in November.

This morning Gordon Wright, the Caesarean secretary, declined to comment.

The riders contacted by the JEP also wanted to remain silent until they receive written confirmation of their status – although they had received telephone calls from the club.

Meanwhile it is understood that they will all be entering the VSJ road race on Sunday as they try for Island Games qualifying times – the names of the cyclists representing Jersey at the games in Shetland in July have to be submitted next month.

In February Firby was barred from entering a CCC mountain bike race.
