‘Lower petrol prices and advertise them clearly’

That is the message from the Jersey Consumer Council, which has reacted to the recent independent review into fuel prices in the Island.

In its latest newsletter, the council says it believes people should pay more attention to the prices they are paying for fuel because prices vary so much between different garages.

It also goes on to attack the number of loyalty schemes available, saying that petrol stations should offer lower prices instead of the ‘expensive gimmicks’.
