Reacting to criticism from Environment president Senator Philip Ozouf over the Island’s draft waste strategy, Senator Vibert accused him of misinforming States Members of scrutiny’s work.

‘The committee is pressing the panel to produce its report on the draft waste strategy.

The president has claimed that the panel has moved the goalposts on a number of occasions in terms of its time-table and its modus operandi, but this is not the case,’ he said.

In a statement to the House today, Senator Vibert said that the waste scrutiny panel was sticking to its public timetable and it was Environment who had set an unrealistic completion target.
