The Victoria college pupil, a regular member of his school team who also plays for the Caesareans and Crusaders Juniors clubs, travelled to Exeter University last weekend for a further assessment.
On a water-based pitch for the first time, he played with increasing confidence as he adapted to the new surface and was able to demonstrate his ball control and distribution abilities, something he clearly enjoyed.
The weekend comprised routines, skill work and player analysis in the mornings and matches in the afternoon, for all 24 boys attending.
He will have two further training sessions in Exeter before the matches in June.
