Chasing Barclays’ total of 104, Hautlians were kept in the chase by Danny Bertram who retired after reaching 50.

They needed eight to win off the last over, but had only scored four singles and lost a wicket to a run out before Higgins launched the penultimate ball over the ropes.

NatWest scored an impressive nine-wicket victory over Walkovers.

Bradley Vautier top scored with 44 for Walkovers, with Neal Crowell the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 20.

Steve Farnden (seven 4s) and Scott Tait (seven 4s) both retired having scored their maiden half-centuries in an opening stand of 104.

Sloggers piled on an impressive 184 for 3 from their 14 overs against Centurions B.

Andy Cadoret 36 (six 4s), Stephen Hopper 47 (five 4s) and Neil Laffoley 40 (seven 4s) were all among the runs.

Paul Glass led the Centurions B reply, retiring after reaching 52, but they eventually closed 39 runs short of the target.
