Environment and Public Services’s £80.3 million Solid Waste Strategy was overwhelmingly approved by the States by 40 votes to two after a two-day debate.
Environment now have the go-ahead to find an estimated £75.5 million replacement for the Bellozanne incinerator, £3.3 million on a composting plant and £0.7 million on a recycling centre.
