Princess Royal thanks Jersey fund-raisers

But the president of Save The Children said that because of the lack of educational opportunities – especially for girls – the charity was concerned that its work might not be sustainable in the long term.

The Princess was speaking at the presentation dinner of the Jersey Workplace Challenge, a year-long fund-raising project.

Earlier in the day she visited Clarkson House and then, as patron of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, she went on to the Zoo to see the conservation work being undertaken there.
