Neville Benbow has replaced Andy Salter, who has stepped down after two years at the helm of banking’s professional association but will remain on the committee.
Mr Benbow is the senior business improvement manager for HSBC International and has responsibility for the development of the bank’s overseas offices.
He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, which use the IFS brand, for all of his career, which began at a Midland branch in Wiltshire 25 years ago.
