But the pairs team of Sue Dingle and Gaynor Thomas has not fared as well as they came off the worst in some tight matches.
However, this morning they beat the Netherlands 15-14 on the last end to claim ninth place.
Said team manager Lorraine Murphy: ‘The triples have been fantastic – they’ve played really well together.
The only team to beat them was Wales and they have a really strong side.
