About 24 residents joined States Members, election candidates and Environment and Public Services officers at First Tower School to hear committee president Senator Philip Ozouf and chief officer John Richardson explain how recent revisions to the strategy would affect their lives.
The strategy was adopted in July, but last month Environment announced a change of preferred sites for the new incinerator, composting facility and recycling centre.
If the States agree, the incinerator will be built next to the power station at La Collette and the composting plant will be relocated to Bellozanne.
A number of sites are under consideration for the recycling centre, including Warwick Farm in Queen’s Road.
