The choir are being ‘paid’ £500 by business development group Standard Bank to perform at their lunchtime drinks reception on Thursday.
The money will buy 333 text books for the Loldia School, which has 1,000 pupils but only a few classrooms and little support from the Kenyan government.
One of the local trustees of the Loldia School Fund is Old Victorian Andrew Devenport.
He has acted as a go-between for the Prep and Loldia School for some time – the schools recently set up a pen-pal scheme in which pupils from both schools sent letters, pictures and information about their homes to each other.
