Kevin Richard McCauley, of Kensington Place, is accused with the girl of, on Monday and Tuesday, breaking into Simon’s the greengrocers and stealing a charity box with contents of unknown value and into the florists Garlands and stealing between £30 and £40 in cash and a cheque.
They are also accused on the same occasion of illegal entry at butchers Charles Dubois and of stealing a charity box containing between £50 and £60 at florists Appleblossoms and stealing about £60 in cash, at Bloomers Bakery stealing about 15 to 20 euros, and of illegal entry with intent to commit a crime at butchers Derek Lidster, Croissant Gourmet and La Mangeoire café.
McCauley is also accused of possessing cannabis at his home on Tuesday.
Both reserved their pleas and were remanded in custody until 8 February.
Bail applications were rejected.
