Could Sabrina be the weakest link?

Sabrina (25), a photographic studio assistant for Steve Wellum, hasn’t yet revealed how she got on, but she reckons the questions are harder in reality than they seem from the sofa.

She said: ‘I have always been a big fan of the programme and my daughter has really got into it, too.

‘I used to answer all the questions and thought I was pretty good, but it’s so much easier when you’re at home! I didn’t do very well on the actual show, but I haven’t told anyone exactly how I did – they’ll have to watch the show to find out.’ Having been a regular viewer for some time, the opportunity to eyeball Anne Robinson and play for a pot of cash was all too tempting for Sabrina, who applied in September and was asked to audition with six other Islanders – three of whom were chosen to appear on different dates.

‘After the audition we had to wait to hear if we’d been shortlisted for the show and they said it might take a while, but I got a letter a week later,’ said Sabrina.

‘They asked me to go to the UK on 23 November to do the filming.

‘It all happened so quickly – I applied in September and by November I was on the show.’
