Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf has announced that the ferry company will not be back in business until the summer after meetings with Emeraude group managing director Jean Paul Jerome.
The ferry company announced at the end of last year they were suspending sailings until 20 December, then moved the date back to 20 February.
Senator Ozouf told the House that M Jerome had assured him at their meeting that efforts were being made to resume services.
Senator Ozouf said he had received the assurance that Sogestran ‘remained committed to the Island’ and ‘knew there was an affection for Emeraude within the Island’.
