Soldier gets Iraq medal for rescue of SAS men

Private Rhys Evans (21), who now lives in Pontypool, is a member of the Royal Regiment for Wales which organised a daring but successful raid to set free the SAS men, an operation which drew the following comment from Prince Charles: ‘Your battalion was involved in the rescue of two special services men in Basra, which was a remarkable operation true to the very best traditions of the battalion.’
