Paul Anticoni, the agency’s head of international aid, has just returned from Pakistan, where millions of people remain in need following the devastating earthquake in October.
Around 60,000 people were killed and more than 3.5 million people were left homeless as a result of the massive earthquake which decimated northern Pakistan and India on 8 October.
The harsh winter and the geography of the region have posed huge problems for the international aid effort and Mr Anticoni will address Sunday’s event on the current situation.
Last week Jersey Side by Side donated £50,000 to the British Red Cross to pay for thousands of hygiene packs made up of basic items such as soap and toothpaste to help reduce the risk of infection.
The packs will help an estimated 63,000 adults and children.
