The grand total of £14,130 has been put to good use helping those in need in Jersey and overseas.

The school has also benefited from the pupils’ altruism as not all the money raised has been given to others, some has been used in the school to buy such things as musical instruments.

Deputy head Carol Le Cocq said: ‘The pupils have been phenomenal this year.

They are very generous children and very responsive to the needs of others.’ The main fund-raising initiatives are dress-down days, but the school also holds an annual walk from West Park to Corbière and back and other events such as dances, sponsored cycle rides and concerts.
