Anna van Oordt’s initiative has the support of the school and she wants other parents and schools to join in to make it an Islandwide service.
Mini Bus Direct have been successfully operating a single vehicle for the past fortnight and Mrs van Oordt wants the service to grow.
‘I am very hopeful that if we succeed, other schools such as De La Salle, Beaulieu and FCJ will follow suit,’ she said.
‘Just three minibuses would result in getting about 50 cars off the road during the rush-hour.
It does seem daft in a relatively safe and small island that we do not have a network of small minibuses to do the school run.
