Following the success of last year’s Insurance Corporation Awards for schools, the company have introduced a separate category offering the winner a prize of £2,000 towards further development of their conservation project.

That new category, which has an emphasis on nature conservation, is open to individuals, conservation groups, private companies, like landscapers, States departments and the parishes.

Projects submitted may be large or small and need not be completed.

Connie Wakeham from the Insurance Corporation said the company had been delighted with the success of the first competition in Jersey last year in which ten schools took part.
