Brian Bisson (St Brelade BC), Cyril Renouf, Kevin Le Long (both Jersey BC) and Colin Rabet (Les Creux BC) are to play a fours Test match in Hong Kong before they go to China.
‘We’ve had very little by way of an itinerary, so far, from China,’ Bisson said.
‘We know which hotels we’re staying in, but we have no idea what the greens will be like, or the facilities!’ Bowl Jersey have sent a team to ths Hong Kong event for the last two or three years, and the idea is to get the sport into China.
‘With such a huge population there, the potential for the sport is terrific,’ Bisson said.
He added: ‘This’ll be my first time in Hong Kong – and China – it’ll be quite an experience.
‘I’ve bowled in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, but I’ve been told Hong Kong is very humid and to bring wet weather gear.
‘I’m also told the hospitality is really good, but we just have no idea what to expect in China.’
