The Deputy, a former police sergeant who is now an Assistant Education Minister, wants to know whether the unit was disbanded without the knowledge of the former Home Affairs Committee.
The Deputy was a motorcycle officer for three and half years during over 27 years’ service in the States police.
His written questions are directed at Home Affairs Minister Wendy Kinnard, who authorised the sale of the seven bikes that went to Essex police earlier this week for £17,000.
He will ask Senator Kinnard when she was told of the intended sale and whether she agreed to it.
