Heroin worth £300,000 was discovered after a man and a woman were stopped at the Airport after having arrived on a flight from the East Midlands.
The drug was concealed internally.
This morning, Gaynor Robinson (38), from Nottingham, and Mathew Ely (28), from London, were due to appear in the Magistrate’s Court in relation to that incident.
A second seizure of heroin and cannabis worth over £330,000 was found by Customs officers at the Harbour on Saturday during a search of a Honda Civic car which was driven off the Condor ferry from St Malo.
During the search, nearly 11 oz of heroin and 4 oz of cannabis were discovered to have been concealed beneath the speaker unit in the near offside panel of the car.
Nelio Martins dos Santos de Jesus (20), from Venezuela, was due to appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning in relation to this incident.
