With the cost of the Island’s public services now nudging half a billion pounds a year, the Jersey Evening Post today launches a new campaign in which readers are invited to suggest ways to reduce the size of the bill.
The campaign is aimed at helping to ensure that all possible cost-saving initiatives have been explored before the States approve further tax increases to fill the black hole in public finances looming because of changes to business taxation forced on the Island by the EU.
