From lunchtime today the Motor Mall at the top of Queen’s Road is slashing the price of unleaded petrol to 69.9p per litre.
The business, which is part of Tom Scott’s Jackson’s Group, is promising to remain the cheapest seller of fuel in the Island and is also cutting diesel down to 72.9p per litre.
According to Monday’s petrol price list in Fair Play, Autocare Garage in Trinity, was the cheapest in the Island for unleaded at 78.4p per litre.
Two weeks ago Autocare cut their price by a remarkable 7p from 85.9 pence to 78.9 to compete with Freelance in Trinity and Harrington’s in St Brelade.
But the Motor Mall has now undercut all three of them by nearly 10p per litre.
