Centeniers’ role in court to be reviewed

This year it is the intention of the Social Affairs Scrutiny Panel to examine the role of the Centeniers in relation to their involvement in the court process.

Chairman of the panel Deputy Bob Hill, a former uniformed police officer in London, wants to investigate the honorary police officers’ role in the legal process and claims ‘people’s lives are at stake as well as human rights issues’.
