Court reduces fine by £16,000

It cut the total fine to £4,000, but dismissed an appeal by the Sarum Hotel against conviction.

The Court of Appeal decided that Sarum Hotel Ltd – whose managing director is former Jersey Hospitality Association president Robert Weston – had breached the law by using hotel rooms as lodging accommodation without necessary permission.
