Among those present, were her son John, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all enjoyed the celebrations with her.

Her room was full of cards from many well-wishers, including a congratulatory telegram from the Queen and a letter from the Bailiff, as well as many bouquets and balloons.

Dolly was born Dorothy Richards on 2 April 1906 in the small fishing and ship-building village of Appledore in North Devon.

She came to Jersey in the early Thirties and met and married Edward (Ted) Morin, chief conveyancer at the law firm Bedell Cristin.

The couple had two sons Edward (Eddie) and John and lived in Hill Street before moving to Millbrook during the Fifties.

She has always been well known for her good humour, ready wit and boundless energy, and looking on the bright side of life.
