The £200,000 a year post of director general of the Jersey Financial Services Commission is being handled by consultancy Whitehead Mann.
The current director general, David Carse, is to retire in November at the end of his three-year contract.
The ideal candidate should have a high level of personal credibility within the international financial services community, a track record of successful leadership, political acumen, and an inclusive and consultative style.
Above all, says the advert, he/she must have ‘a proactive and sensible approach to regulation that maintains the highest standards whilst also recognising the needs of Jersey’s financial services industry and its role as a driver for economic growth’.
The closing date is 28 April.
