In future Bharti Global Ltd will be known as Jersey Telenet Ltd (JTL).
The Island’s competition regulator, the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority, granted Bharti a Class ll telecoms licence in February, despite objections from rivals Cable & Wireless who questioned the wisdom of licensing more than two telecoms operators, given the Island’s small population.
