The machine, a flatbed model, should also cut the cost of much of the work that Signtech produces.
Although similar machines have been available in the UK for some years, the size and cost of the equipment made it uneconomical for the Channel Islands market.
Now, however, a more compact printer has been produced by Solara, a leader in the field.
Mr Guégan said that as well as matching the scale of the islands’ market, the new machine could print onto any material, including glass, aluminium and wood, adding: ‘This more affordable model creates huge opportunities for small and medium-size businesses like Signtech.
