Homes sold between January and March of this year cost six per cent more than everything sold in 2005.
The latest house price figures were released today, and the States Statistics Unit say that they might represent a turning point in the Jersey housing market.
They reveal that the average price of a home in Jersey in the first quarter of this year was seven per cent more than it was in the first quarter of 2005.
Statistician Dr Duncan Gibaut said that, following the general stability in price between 2002 and 2004, the latest quarter had shown a relatively large increase.
