No one else was involved in the accident, which occurred at around 2 pm, and police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.

Mrs Hamon-Cole , a nurse, was discovered injured in La Verte Chemin by a passer-by who called the emergency services.
The lane where the incident took place, between Grande Route de St Jean and Grande Route de Mont à l’Abbé was immediately closed to traffic, and remained closed until after 7 pm.
Mrs Hamon-Cole, who was found outside the car, died later that day in hospital from serious head injuries.
Police want to speak to any witnesses to the accident who have not yet come forward.
