Sporting Club won by eight wickets and they were guided to victory at Les Quennevais by Trevor Rousseau and Matt Hague who were undefeated on 52 and 31 respectively.

Rousseau struck eight 4s and Hague three boundaries and two 6s.

Abacus won a high-scoring match against Pentagon by six runs at FB1.

Richard Robinson and Naveed Rafique both retired after scoring half centuries as Abacus amassed 152 for 3 in 12 overs.

Robinson and Michael Woodrow put on 64 runs for the second wicket before Woodrow was out for 29 after clouting four boundaries and a six off his 11 scoring shots.

Euan Le Marquand and Karl Le Fèvre made a steady start, but they were always behind the required run rate of 13 an over.

Both were eventually run out and the rate increased to 15.

Spinners Rafique and Woodrow were introduced and batsmen Barry Parsons and James Caunt hit out.

Parsons scored a very quick 38, four 4s and two 6s, before Woodrow ran 20 yards to take a stunning diving catch at deep square leg.

Parsons and Woodrow scored 40 runs in the tenth and eleventh overs leaving 15 to win off the last.

However it was not to be as Rafique kept his cool by varying the pace to concede just nine runs to finish with three wickets for 45.
